65 % of uganda’s land is deemed “farmland” and the country has seen significant growth in farming activities in the recent past. Improving agricultural performance in low-income countries is the most effective way of reducing poverty and hunger. Uganda offers fertile land and abundant labor. In spite of this, the biggest challenge faced today is lack of technical know-how, infrastructure and access to global market information
The vision of ugagrains is to amass & educate the vast number of small hold farmers and associations by providing them technical & logistical assistance and guiding them to correct crop management, thereby ensuring optimum yield. We will help these farmers to get the highest possible returns for their produce by using our advanced agro processing, packaging & storage facility close to the farmlands to raise the quality of final products to international standards for global exports.
Our intention is to change farmer trend from subsistence farming to commercial farming leading to poverty alleviation and economic upliftment of the entire region.
